In 1986, he decided to focus on teaching and won Top Teacher awards for Ballroom and Country Western from 1981 through 2003. He was the co-organizer of the San Antonio Invitational Dance Tournament from 1992-2001, and organizer in 2002. He has theatrical experience performing in West Side Story, Hair, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He has provided dance instruction to the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston Officer's Club in San Antonio, North East Independent School District in San Antonio and Randolph Air Force Base Non-Commissioned Officer's Club in San Antonio.

Alex & Kathleen Moore are the studio owners and teachers. All other professional teachers utilizing the studio to teach lessons are independent & all financial arrangements are directly between the independent teacher and student(s). Any dance packages sold by other teachers must be taught by those teachers, Alex Moore's Danceworks is not responsible for any untaught lessons of the independent teachers.

Laura Ely: Ballet, Modern & Jazz lauraelydance.wixsite.com/lauraelydance Laura holds a BFA in dance from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. Upon college graduation, her ballet training continued in NYC where she performed with the Peridance Ensemble & was on scholarship at Peridance and Steps on Broadway. Laura chose to further her development as a performing artist, choreographer & teacher by joining the Dance Ad Deum Dance Company. Since moving to Houston in 2004, she has taught at various dance schools, gyms & universities, including Houston Ballet Academy, Houston Community College, & Rice University. She shares her love for dance & experience to provide exceptional teaching & mentoring.
